Aquarius, the Water Bearer
Located in the Southern Hemisphere, the constellation
Aquarius is well known due to its connection with the
twelve zodiac constellations. Its location in the fourth
quadrant of the Southern Hemisphere, often referred to
as the Sea, means that Aquarius shares its place in the
sky with many other well-known constellations such as
Pisces and Cetus.
The constellation currently consists of 11 named stars
approved by the International Astronomical Union (IAU).
They are Albali, Ancha, Bosona, Bunda, Lionrock, Márohu,
Sadachbia, Sadalmelik, Sadalsuud, Situla, and Skat.
Additionally, due to its large size, Aquarius is known
as the 10th largest constellation, spanning over an area
of 980 square degrees.
