Aquila, the Eagle

Holding the title of the 22nd largest star constellation, Aquila rests in the Northern Hemisphere near the Celestial Equator. This constellation was first cataloged in the 2nd century by the Greek astronomer Ptolemy. Additionally, meaning “the eagle” in Latin, Aquila in Greek mythology is identified as the eagle that carried Zeus’s thunderbolts.

While not entirely as well-known as the zodiac constellations, this constellation holds two quite famous stars in its system, Altair and Tarazed. It ultimately contains eight named stars in total: Alshain, Altair, Chechia, Libertas, Okab, Petra, Phoenicia, and Tarazed.
