Draco, the Dragon

Draco, respectively meaning “the dragon” in Latin, is the eighth largest constellation in the sky with an area of 1083 square degrees. This constellation represents the dragon, Ladon, who guarded the gardens of the Hesperides in Greek mythology.

Draco contains seventeen officially named stars: Aldhibah, Alrakis, Alruba, Alsafi, Altais, Athebyne, Dziban, Edasich, Eltanin, Fafnir, Funi, Giausar, Grumium, Rastaban, Taiyi, Thuban, and Tianyi.
