Gemini, the Twins
Gemini, meaning “the twins,” is apart of the twelve
zodiac constellations. This constellation represents the
two twins, Pollux and Castor, from Greek mythology.
Gemini is well known for its position among the zodiacs;
however, it also holds two prominent stars: Castor and
Pollux, respectively named after the twins for which the
constellation is of. In total, the Gemini constellation
contains ten named stars: Alhena, Alzirr, Castor, Jishui,
Mebsuta, Mekbuda, Pollux, Propus, Tejat, and Wasat.
