Pisces, the Fish

Meaning “the fish” in Latin, Pisces is one of the twelve zodiac constellations and is very large with an area of 889 square degrees. This constellation represents Venus and Cupid from Roman mythology, who turned into fish to escape the monster Typhon.

The Vernal equinox is currently located in Pisces, and it also contains nine officially named stars: Alpherg, Alrescha, Bélénos, Citadelle, Ebla, Fumalsamakah, Parumleo, Revati, and Torcular.
